Customizing Your Brand Portal

Created by Collage Labs, Modified on Tue, 25 Feb at 2:06 PM by Collage Labs

You can update your Brand Portal with custom colors, banner images, tiles, and your company logo and favicon. We recommend using all of these features to best represent your brand when distributing content through your brand portal.

Adding your logo, favicon, and custom colors:

To upload your brand logo and favicon, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Profile icon in the navigation bar and select Account Settings' from the menu.

  2. In “Account Settings” you will find options to upload both your company logo and favicon.

  3. On this same page, to the right of these upload options, you can choose the colors used on your Brand Portal. This consists of a primary color and a secondary color. As you select colors you’ll see your changes reflected in a preview just below the color selection area.

  4. To save these adjustments make sure you click submit below both the logo section and the custom colors section.

Your brand logo, favicon, and colors will now be updated and visible on your brand portal.

Your brand logo will be used on your brand portal, the brand portal login page, and on custom share link pages. The favicon is used for the browser tabs of your brand portal and the customer colors are used for the brand portal user interface.

How to add customer banners and tiles to your brand portal:

Using custom banners and tiles is a great way to upgrade your brand portal and make it easier for your partners and colleagues to find the right content. Follow the steps below to create and manage your banners and tiles.

  1. Navigate to the “Account Settings” page of your Collage account.

  2. On the Account Settings page, you’ll find the “Manage Banners” and “Manage Tiles” options under “Brand Portal Settings”.

Manage Banners

  1. To add a new banner or manage existing ones, click “Manage Banners”.

  2. Click the “Choose File” button to create a new banner.

  3. Follow the prompts to find the image you’d like to use for the new banner.

    1. Banner specs: 1920 x 500

  4. Once you’ve selected the right image it’s time to enter the banner link, title, and an overlay text if you’d like to use it.

    1. Banner Link: This is where the user will be directed when they click on your banner. This can be to a location in your brand portal or to an external location like on your company website. Make sure the link will be accessible to the user!

    2. Title: This is mainly used for your own organization. Use the Title to describe where the banner is pointing to make it easier to manage later.

    3. Overlay Text: Using the overlay text will partially grey-out the banner image you’ve selected and apply a short text caption over the top.

  5. Once you are happy with your selections click “Save”.

  6. The new banner will now appear in the “Banner List” below. Use the “Status” toggle to turn the banner “On”. When “On” the banner will show on the brand portal.

  7. In the “Banner List” you can also adjust the order in which the banners appear by dragging them up and down. Simply click the three dots to the left of the banner number and drag the banner entry either up or down to change the order.

Manage Tiles

Adding and managing custom tiles is nearly identical to adding and managing banners with a few small differences:

  1. The tile title is always displayed so make sure it effectively informs your brand portal users what they’ll find when clicking each tile.

  2. The tiles are obviously a different size.

    1. Tile specs: 900 x 670

  3. With the tiles you can decide whether you want them to “slide” by using the toggle above the top-right corner of the “Tile List”.

    1. Turning the “Slide” toggle on will cause the tiles to rotate in a single row carousel on the brand portal.

    2. Turning the “Slide” toggle off will cause the tiles to stack in multiple rows rather than rotating in the single carousel.
